Funding Available for the Elderly and the Vulnerable and Any Organisation Looking to Help Them

Please see the information below received from  Dorset Community Foundation.

Funding is available through the Keep Warm, Keep Well, Keep Safe Fund managed by Dorset Community Foundation. The fund aims are to help the elderly and the vulnerable during the winter months. We are working together with Synergy Housing on doing emergency heating repairs for such individuals who have experiences a sudden loss of heating.

We also offer grants for any group/organisation within Dorset that are looking to organise Social Inclusion Activities for the elderly and the vulnerable during the winter months – some of the social inclusion activities include reading clubs, lunch clubs, sports sessions, transport, taster sessions to recruit new members etc.

We are also funding Good Neighbour Activities during the next couple of months – any activity that may involve looking out for the elderly and vulnerable individuals during the cold weather – checking whether they are ok, shopping for provisions etc. Funding is also available for salt and gritting equipment.

All details of the fund as well as an application forms and guidance can be found on: http://www.dorsetcommunityfoundation.org/apply-for-a-grant/keep-warm-kee... .
