There will be photos, short film clips and a power point presentation to try to demonstrate the importance of the pollinators in our world. The hope is that the listeners will be encouraged enough to take small actions like planting the odd insect friendly flower or leaving the odd weed ! They save unwanted swarms and re home them out into the world where they can carry on the endless task off keeping our eco system going. Over a third of everything we eat on our plate derives from the work of pollinators and THEY are dying at 40% + year on year? Do we need to worry ? I think so! |
