Broadband Internet usage

Have any halls rented out their Broadband connection to regular users and if so, have there been any problems ?

Do you: -

1. Set a charge i.e. hourly or standard ?

2. Change the modem access key frequently ?

3. Keep a record of downloads ?

4. Supervise ?

 At the meeting of the DAPTC Towns and Larger Councils Committee on 22 January 2010, the Chairman welcomed Helen Heanes, Senior Economic Development Officer and Tony May ICT Project Manager of Dorset County Council who gave presentations relating to the above.

 

Booking Systems for Village Halls

A couple of halls are looking to install a computerised booking system. We know of just one, AVALON.

  • Do any of you know of any others?
  • Do you use AVALON or another one?
  • Are they any good?
  • Are they better than a diary and a pencil/rubber?
