 Hi, 

At Chideock village hall we have an Optoma projector that is reaching the end of its life and we are going to need to replace it. It is portable and used to project films and presentations onto a 3m screen from a table positioned about 3 to 4 m in front of the screen. I'm looking for advice from any hall that has purchased a projector for similar use over, say, the past 5 years, that woudl help us make a decison about what to buy.

Have any halls rented out their Broadband connection to regular users and if so, have there been any problems ?

Do you: -

1. Set a charge i.e. hourly or standard ?

2. Change the modem access key frequently ?

3. Keep a record of downloads ?

4. Supervise ?

A couple of halls are looking to install a computerised booking system. We know of just one, AVALON.

• Do any of you know of any others?
• Do you use AVALON or another one?
• Are they any good?
• Are they better than a diary and a pencil/rubber?
