Litton Cheney Community Hall has been up and running for just over a year. We are delighted with the hall which is well used by both village and school. We have a very smart solid wooden floor in the hall manufactured by a company called Junckers. Every 18 months or so it needs to be stripped and re-coated. We were told it would cost in the region of £500. However, we have been given a list by Junckers of approved companies who can carry out this work. There are none in Dorset, the nearest being in Wellington, Somerset, and the quotes have been closer to £1000 and more. We would like to employ a local company even if the cost is more than we were originally told and wondered if there were any halls out there who have a solid wooden floor somewhat similar to ours, and if so whether they know of a company reasonably close to hand who can competently carry out the work.
