24th August 2009 - Community Sustainable Energy Briefing: 3rd October

 da21 AGM

Followed by a Talk on the potential in Dorset for Community Sustainable Energy by Pete West - RE officer for Dorset County Council.

Saturday 3rd October 2pm - 5pm Dorset Room, Colliton Club, Dorchester.

With the imminent introduction of feed-in tariffs the business case for community ownership of energy is looking more attractive. Community owned renewable energy schemes are already operating in other parts of the country, and because they are community owned the profits are able to be used for local benefit. As well as shared ownership, householders and community buildings - such as Village Halls could also benifit from investing in renewable energy schemes.

Pete West - Renewable Energy Officer for DCC will be hosting a talk and discussion on the opportunities.
