BiteSize Event: Energetic Savings!

Tuesday 30th November 2010 - Frampton Village Hall

Our next BiteSize event is focusing on an issue that is having an increasing impact on halls; the cost of energy, primarily electricity costs. This is going to become even more pressing as British Gas announce 7% price increases for both gas and electricity for next year and other providers will surely have to follow.

What can you do about this?

  • Reduce the amount of energy you use by carrying out an energy audit

  • Introduce an energy consumption management plan

  • Generate your own energy and supply surplus to the National Grid

  • Join with others to use purchasing power to reduce charge rates

Our current work on benchmarking shows that around 25% of all running cost expenditure goes in providing light and heat in the hall. Our November BiteSize will address these issues and tell you how you can use the techniques listed to reduce the amount of power used and reduce the amount paid for power.

This event is being run in partnership with da21 and the GreenAssist project which is supported by the Big Lottery Fund.
