Subject: Community volunteers opportunity: Big Lunch Extras

Hello, my name is Hana, I'm a Community Catalyst at The Eden Project in Cornwall. I'm getting in touch about an opportunity you may be interested in sharing with your networks. We're running a lottery funded programme for the next two years for community minded people that go that extra bit further in their local areas in a voluntary capacity. As a part of the programme we pay for people to come and visit The Eden Project for an inspiring weekend camp to meet other community volunteers from all over the UK for workshops, talks and networking. I've been asked to look for new participants from the whole South West and so would really appreciate it if you might be able to share the below info and attached flyer on my behalf?
Many thanks if you can. Any questions, do get in touch.

Big Lunch Extras: Calling all Community Volunteers in The South West!
Building on the on-going success of the Big Lunch where neighbours come together for food and fun- Big Lunch Extras takes the next step and joins up like-minded community do-ers and their projects to create a strong and an inspiring network across the UK.

During the programme Big Lunch Extras participants are invited to a free Community Camp at the Eden Project, Cornwall, where they'll take part in a packed weekend of community-focused practical activities, facilitated talks, useful workshops and relevant networking. After the Community Camp, the Big Lunch Extras Team will keep in touch to find out how community projects or ideas are progressing. There will also be one day follow up events all over the UK.

Places are free but limited, and applicants will need to detail how they are actively engaged in voluntary projects, activities or schemes in their local area. To apply please go onto our website: http://www.biglunchextras.com/ and click on the button ‘join our pioneering programme’.
