I am sorry to have to tell you that we have reluctantly decided to postpone the AGM and Open meeting, due to lack of support. We had potentially the lowest turnout of any AGM in our existence, and it was not deemed fair to ask professional speakers and suppliers to turn out at a weekend for this. We feel it would be better to attach the business of an AGM to an event with wider appeal to Hall members instead.
NOW ARRANGED TO BE IN THE 'HALLS FAIR' IN WIMBORNE ON FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER
We have recently been discussing with the Volunteer Sector Liaison staff of the East Dorset District Council the idea of holding a 'Community Halls Fair' in the late summer: We are considering an exhibition of key suppliers to run alongside a series of relevant talks at the Allendale Community Centre in Wimborne, probably in the afternoon and early evening of Friday 4th October.

I know that Alex Picot of DCA wishes to meet Members of halls who are interested in pursuing Hallmark Accreditation, and using other Advisory services which DCA can offer. We will give you more details of this in the next couple of weeks.
